Road Trip - June 9th
Let's all meet at the HEB at Hwy 6 and Kieth Harrow Saturday June 9th at 9:00 AM. We can then swing by and pick up Carolina. Carolina let us know where is a good place to pick you up. We'll head down to Painted Pony and then onto Kemah for lunch and time permitting we'll stop at Sew Contempo on the way home. Please be prepared to reimburse Clyde for your portion of the Kona Snow fabric for the Quilt Show quilt. I'll be in Austin Thursday and Friday, returning fairly late Friday evening. If any plans change, please call me on my cell or email me. See you Saturday!

I am willing to drive if needed. Karen Kari
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. I can get 6 or 7 in my van. I guess we can decide how many vehicles we'll need when we see who shows up on Saturday morning.
ReplyDeleteALL - If you are planning to come please email me or post to the blog so we know who we are plannig on. We will leave the parking lot at 9:15 sharp! Be there or be square! Let's park near the gas station side of HEB, near the corner of Hwy 6 and Kieth Harrow. (Oh...and I didn't want to post my cell number on the blog so please email me or look it up on the guild website if you need it.)
I plan on being there. See you Saturday morning.

Amy,
ReplyDeleteDo you have enough room for me to go with you on Sat.Who will be driving?
Also I found a wonderful web site called quilt cache.
It has hundreds of free patterns lots of patterns for paper piecing Elaine!
Elaine - Yes I'll have room. So far it's me, Sam, you, Clyde, Karen and Carolina. Jas and Cynthia can't make it. Karen (Shelly) will meet us at Painted Pony. I think Angelique may come, not sure. I have not heard from Bobbie yet. We may all fit in my van!
DeleteI'm familiar wit that website. It's a great resource. If you click on Quilt blocks galore it takes you to the page where you can sort on block name and size. It's great! Check it out at www.quilterscache.com
Karen if you do not mind i would love to ride shot-gun in your car; if not I can drive as I tend in my "old age" to get car sick if not in front...not sure why or when exactly this started.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Carolina
I will meet ya'll there at 9am. I prefer to ride with someone if possible. I bought 8 3/8 yds (all that was left on bolt) of Kona Snow, which I know is more than we need (remember we added a row/column to the quilt), but can use any leftover on the back. I bought it at Hobby Lobby w/a 40% coupon and the total was $43.46. Counting 11 (?) people participating, so that would be $3.95 each. I will bring everyone's strips on sat. cut slightly larger than 2 1/2".

Thanks for getting the fabric Clyde. We'll settle up with you Saturday.
