Hi there! Just a quick hello to remind you that our next bee meeting is October 13th. We'll add the borders onto our quilt for the quilt show and hopefully have it ready for Jas to quilt.
Are you all busy working on your Homemade Christmas Gift for the exchange? I for one need to kick it into high gear...it seems like I always put it off. As soon as we were done with Thanksgiving dinner last year, my dining room table turned into my sweat shop and I started cranking out the pincushions. I hope to not be so late this year.
If you are planning to attend the retreat (Nov. 30 - Dec 2); please remember that your money is due to Karen Ridgway in October. Let's get a count of who is still planning on attending the retreat and if you are participating in the gift exchange. The more people we have attending, the cheaper it is for all of us.
I'll start it off...Amy WILL attend and WILL participate in gift exchange.

ReplyDeleteI need to clarify...If you paid the retreat deposit to Karen then your balance will be about $100. (9 have paid the deposit of $32.00. Amy, Bobbie, Clyde, Elaine, Jas, Karen F, Karen Shelly, Karen Kari & Sam).
ReplyDeleteIf you did not pay the deposit, you will need to add $32. After we get to retreat we can adjust the total cost based on who attends. I know there was some confusion because we booked 2012 and 2013 retreats. Karen put up the deposit for 2012 and Jas put up the deposit for 2013.
I am trying this a second time. I don't know what I do wrong but: KK (Karen Kari) will be at the meeting but in the afternoon. I will get the quilt top to Amy before then. (I am babysitting in the morning - my surrogate grnd cldrn). I will be at retreat and hopefully participate in the gift exchange - I'm working on an idea!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cool mornng! Sam will be attending the Retreat and participating in the exchange. I will not be attending the Bee meeting. But I will get with Amy and get the extra material to make the pillow shams, now we know how much extra fabric we have after the borders.
